What does the patient leaflet for sarecycline say first?

The FDA-approved Medication Guide or Patient Information that comes with the medicine, in its own words.

From the patient leaflet: What should I avoid during treatment with SEYSARA?

Avoid sunlight or artificial sunlight, such as a tanning booth or sunlamp. You could get severe sunburn. Use sunscreen and wear loose-fitting clothes that cover your skin while out in sunlight. Stop taking SEYSARA if you get sunburn. You should not drive or operate dangerous machinery until you know how SEYSARA affects you. Tetracyclines may cause you to feel dizzy or lightheaded, or have a spinning feeling (vertigo).

From the patient leaflet: How should I store SEYSARA?

Store SEYSARA at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C). Keep SEYSARA away from moisture and excessive heat. Keep SEYSARA and all medicines out of the reach of children.

Is there a generic for sarecycline (Seysara)?

No generic sarecycline is approved (Drugs@FDA, October 8, 2026).

The Orange Book lists 4 patents for Seysara tablets: the compound patent runs to February 9, 2033. A patent or exclusivity date is not the date a generic goes on sale: court cases and settlements move it either way.

What does the sarecycline label say about other medicines?

The sarecycline label names 6 other medicines in its interaction, contraindication or warning sections. The sentences are the labels' own; a label lists what its studies and reports found, not every interaction.
