Secnidazole label, contraindicationsIn patients with Cockayne syndrome: Severe irreversible hepatotoxicity/acute liver failure with fatal outcomes have been reported after initiation of metronidazole, another nitroimidazole drug, structurally related to secnidazole, in patients with Cockayne syndrome [see Adverse Reactions (6.2) ].
