Clonazepam's FDA label of December 1, 2025 names sertraline in its drug interactions section; sertraline's label does not name clonazepam itself but warns about its class (Benzodiazepines). The clonazepam label: “The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors sertraline (weak CYP3A4 inducer) and fluoxetine (CYP2D6 inhibitor), and the anti-epileptic drug felbamate do not affect the pharmacokinetics of clonazepam.”

Sertraline's label does not name clonazepam itself; it warns about its class (Benzodiazepines):
Sertraline label, drug interactionsAdditionally, no dosage adjustment is required for diazepam, lithium, atenolol, tolbutamide, digoxin, and drugs metabolized by CYP3A4, when ZOLOFT is administered concomitantly [See Clinical Pharmacology (12.3) ]. Tests for Benzodiazepines False-positive urine immunoassay screening tests for benzodiazepines have been reported in patients taking ZOLOFT.
Sertraline label, drug interactionsFalse-positive test results may be expected for several days following discontinuation of ZOLOFT. Confirmatory tests, such as gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, will distinguish sertraline from benzodiazepines.
