What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Bupropion and propranolol

Propranolol's FDA label (Inderal Xl) of August 27, 2026 names bupropion in its drug interactions section; bupropion's label does not name propranolol itself but warns about its class (Beta blockers). The propranolol label: “Impact of Other Drugs on Propranolol CYP2D6, CYP1A2 and CYP2C19 Inhibitors: CYP2D6 inhibitors, CYP1A2 inhibitors and CYP2C19 inhibitors increase exposure to propranolol when co-administered with INDERAL XL.”
