Amiodarone and levofloxacin

Levofloxacin's FDA label of July 10, 2024 names amiodarone in its warnings and precautions section; amiodarone's label does not name levofloxacin itself but warns about its class (Fluoroquinolones). The levofloxacin label: “… and patients receiving Class IA (quinidine, procainamide), or Class III (amiodarone, sotalol) antiarrhythmic agents.”

What does the levofloxacin label say about amiodarone?

Levofloxacin label, warnings and precautions

Levofloxacin should be avoided in patients with known prolongation of the QT interval, patients with uncorrected hypokalemia, and patients receiving Class IA (quinidine, procainamide), or Class III (amiodarone, sotalol) antiarrhythmic agents.
