Rizatriptan's FDA label of January 29, 2026 names phenelzine in its drug interactions section; the phenelzine label PlainMeds reads does not name rizatriptan. The rizatriptan label: “Plasma concentrations of rizatriptan may be increased by drugs that are selective MAO-A inhibitors (e.g., moclobemide) or nonselective MAO inhibitors [type A and B].”

What does the rizatriptan label say about phenelzine?

Plasma concentrations of rizatriptan may be increased by drugs that are selective MAO-A inhibitors (e.g., moclobemide) or nonselective MAO inhibitors [type A and B] (e.g., isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, and pargyline).
