What the FDA labels say about taking them together
Linezolid and selegiline
Selegiline's FDA label (Zelapar) of June 1, 2021 names linezolid in its contraindications section; linezolid's label does not name selegiline itself but warns about its class (MAO inhibitors). The selegiline label: “MAO Inhibitors ZELAPAR is contraindicated for concomitant use with other drugs in the MAOI class or other drugs that are potent inhibitors of monoamine oxidase because of the increased risk for hypertensive crisis.”
Check it at the source: the linezolid FDA label on DailyMed (effective June 19, 2026, Hospira, Inc.); the selegiline FDA label on DailyMed (effective August 7, 2024, Rising Pharma Holdings, Inc.).
