What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Labetalol and nitroglycerin

Labetalol's FDA label of March 2, 2026 names nitroglycerin in its drug interactions section; nitroglycerin's label does not name labetalol itself but warns about its class (Beta blockers). The labetalol label: “DRUG INTERACTIONS Beta blockers antagonize the bronchodilator effect of beta-receptor agonists. Increase hypotension may occur with halothane anesthesia. Nitroglycerin may result in additional hypotensive effects.”
