What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Morphine and ticagrelor

Morphine's FDA label (Morphine Sulfate) of August 31, 2026 names ticagrelor in its drug interactions section, and ticagrelor's label names morphine too. The morphine label: “The co-administration of oral P2Y 12 inhibitors and intravenous morphine sulfate can decrease the absorption and peak concentration of oral P2Y 12 inhibitors and delay the onset of antiplatelet effect.”

Check it at the source: the morphine FDA label on DailyMed (effective July 13, 2026, Bryant Ranch Prepack); the ticagrelor FDA label on DailyMed (effective May 7, 2026, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP).
