Saxagliptin's FDA label of January 27, 2026 names nefazodone in its drug interactions section; the nefazodone label PlainMeds reads does not name saxagliptin. The saxagliptin label: “Similar significant increases in plasma concentrations of saxagliptin are anticipated with other strong CYP3A4/5 inhibitors.”

Similar significant increases in plasma concentrations of saxagliptin are anticipated with other strong CYP3A4/5 inhibitors (e.g., atazanavir, clarithromycin, indinavir, itraconazole, nefazodone, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir, and telithromycin).
