Nabumetone's FDA label of January 13, 2025 names aspirin in its contraindications section; aspirin's label does not name nabumetone itself but warns about its class (NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)). The nabumetone label: “When nabumetone tablets are administered with aspirin, its protein binding is reduced, although the clearance of free nabumetone is not altered.”

What does the nabumetone label say about aspirin?

Nabumetone label, contraindications

Nabumetone tablets should not be given to patients who have experienced asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.

There is no consistent evidence that concurrent use of aspirin mitigates the increased risk of serious CV thrombotic events associated with NSAID use.
