Fluticasone and nefazodone

Fluticasone's FDA label of December 19, 2024 names nefazodone in its drug interactions (prescription label) section; the nefazodone label PlainMeds reads does not name fluticasone. The fluticasone label: “The use of strong CYP3A4 inhibitors with Fluticasone Propionate DISKUS is not recommended because increased systemic corticosteroid adverse effects may occur.”

The use of strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, atazanavir, clarithromycin, indinavir, itraconazole, nefazodone, nelfinavir, saquinavir, ketoconazole, telithromycin, conivaptan, lopinavir, voriconazole) with XHANCE is not recommended because increased systemic corticosteroid adverse effects may occur.
