What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Cyclosporine and hydrochlorothiazide/valsartan

Hydrochlorothiazide/valsartan's FDA label of February 13, 2026 names cyclosporine in its drug interactions section; cyclosporine's label does not name hydrochlorothiazide/valsartan itself but warns about its class (ARBs (angiotensin II receptor blockers), Thiazide diuretics). The hydrochlorothiazide/valsartan label: “Cyclosporine: Concomitant treatment with cyclosporine may increase the risk of hyperuricemia and gout-type complications.”
