Efavirenz's FDA label of March 31, 2024 names cyclosporine in its drug interactions section; the cyclosporine labels PlainMeds reads (4) do not name efavirenz. The efavirenz label: “Dose adjustments of the immunosuppressant may be required. Close monitoring of immunosuppressant concentrations for at least 2 weeks is recommended when starting or stopping treatment with efavirenz.”

Concomitant Drug Class/Drug Name: Immunosuppressants: Cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus and others metabolized by CYP3A; Effect: ↓ immunosuppressant; Clinical Comment: Dose adjustments of the immunosuppressant may be required. Close monitoring of immunosuppressant concentrations for at least 2 weeks (until stable concentrations are reached) is recommended when starting or stopping treatment with efavirenz.
