What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Cisplatin and neomycin

Neomycin's FDA label of February 12, 2026 names cisplatin in its boxed warning (prescription label) section; the cisplatin label PlainMeds reads does not name neomycin. The neomycin label: “… other potentially nephrotoxic and/or neurotoxic drugs such as bacitracin, cisplatin, vancomycin, amphotericin B, polymyxin B, colistin and viomycin, should be avoided because the toxicity may be additive.”

Check it at the source: the cisplatin FDA label on DailyMed (effective September 16, 2021, WG Critical Care, LLC); the neomycin FDA label on DailyMed (effective February 12, 2026).

What does the cisplatin label say about neomycin?
