What the FDA labels say about taking them together

Bacitracin and neomycin

Neomycin's FDA label of February 12, 2026 names bacitracin in its boxed warning (prescription label) section; the bacitracin label PlainMeds reads does not name neomycin. The neomycin label: “… paromomycin and other potentially nephrotoxic and/or neurotoxic drugs such as bacitracin, cisplatin, vancomycin, amphotericin B, polymyxin B, colistin and viomycin, should be avoided because the toxicity may be additive.”

Check it at the source: the bacitracin FDA label on DailyMed (effective August 24, 2026); the neomycin FDA label on DailyMed (effective February 12, 2026).
