Atazanavir label, drug interactionsConcomitant Drug Class/Specific Drugs: Antiplatelets ticagrelor clopidogrel; Effect on Concentration of Atazanavir or Concomitant Drug: ↑ ticagrelor ↓ clopidogrel active metabolite; Clinical Comment: Coadministration with ticagrelor is not recommended due to potential increase in the risk of dyspnea, bleeding and other adverse events associated with ticagrelor. Coadministration of atazanavir (with or without ritonavir) and clopidogrel is not recommended. This is due to the potential reduction of the antiplatelet activity of clopidogrel.
